A Celebration Of Life

Randy doing one of the things he loved... coaching and cheering for our kids!

Starting at Noon on February 6th in the Alto Community Center we will be having a gathering celebrating the life of Randy Rote

Randy, the father of Senior Kayla Rote, also coached and mentored our older girls in the summer league as well as our fall ball teams the past 3 years. Please come celebrate his life with his wife Linda, Kayla, and the rest of their family and friends. After the short service there will be a potluck lunch and fellowship.

We are asking that all who attend wear a mask. Thank you

Open mezz is a good opportunity start your preparation for the season. Every Sunday from 4pm - 6pm except Super Bowl Sunday. Because of covid restrictions we can only have grades 6th through Seniors with masks being warn at all times. Enter at the two entrances by the weight room, temperature check in the commons and then head up to the Mezz and have some fun! Your parents are welcome to come help you.

We hope all who participated had a great experience and to those who could not play,  we cannot wait to see you in the spring!

A VERY special thank you goes out to our sponsors. Your support is another big reason we are so successful.

We have begun to work on 2021. Check back often for new news!!

Parents, Learn how to get the most out of our new website by visiting the Parent Portal.  There are instructions and videos to help you learn how to use our site, update your personal info along with the players info and links to download the mobile app.  The mobile app will be what your coach uses most often to send you messages, schedules updates and last minute cancellations.  The Parent Portal can be seen at the top of this page or by following this link.

The recreational league volunteer sign up website is up and running. Families are responsible for only 2 hours PER PLAYER this year. Follow the link above to sign up. Once you have signed up, the website will send you a reminder email prior to your shift. NEW THIS YEAR. There is no buyout option. Eclipse families are NOT exempt. If your child is playing in the rec league you are responsible for the 2 hours per player. If you do not complete your hours there will be a $100 penalty assessed and your child will not be allowed to play again until that is paid! This comes up every year so I will answer it now. ONLY the head coach and designated assistant coach receive credit for volunteer hours. We appreciate all the help that other parents provide during games and practices and it is needed but it is impossible for us to keep track of and count those as volunteer hours. Also, make sure you sign in and record your hours when you work them. This is the only way we can verify that you actually showed up and volunteered. Thank you all in advance for fulfilling your hours. We are a volunteer organization and can not function without the help of our parents. It is only due to our concession stand that we can keep registration fees as low as they are. THANK YOU EVERYONE AND SEE YOU AT THE DIAMONDS!

The National Exchange Bank Foundation donated funds to fully replace the 6 hitting stations with new mats.

The bank representatives were Mitch Greenfield(AVP) and Jerry O’Connor(Market President). WGSA was represented by President Jason Westphal and board member  Josh Navis

WGSA is so thankful for this donation especially knowing every child participating in  our organization will be able to enjoy these new mats.

The city also has agreed to assist  in the install of these new mats. The cages were originally installed in July of 2015 and has been one of the best additions to the softball complex since the addition of the Dugouts and Press Box.

Welcome to the home of Waupun Girls Softball Association.  WGSA is an independent, non-profit organization that is committed to providing the game of fastpitch softball to the youth of Waupun, Wisconsin and surrounding communities.  We organize and operate both a recreational summer league where all skill levels are welcomed along with our competitive "Eclipse" tournament teams.  Along with developing softball skills to help improve the Waupun Warriors High School Softball Team we strive to provide all girls with a fun experience that fosters self esteem and personal growth team play and individual achievement.
