50 years of Waupun Warrior High School Softball. This is a yearlong celebration of great accomplishments on and off the field. If you have any photos or stories you would like to submit from your softball career, please send them to coach Navis at jnavis@waupun.k12.wi.us. We are hoping to also celebrate and recognize alumni at several home games. If you are interested in coming to a home game and participating also contact coach Navis.
I grew up in Brandon, WI and went to Laconia High School. I moved to Waupun shortly after High School and got married to my wife Jenn who grew up in Waupun. We have 3 daughters who all love softball. I recently retired from the WI Air National Guard (128 th Air Refueling Wing) where I spent 20 years as a Guardsmen and 12 of those years as a Civilian Technician in the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. I now work as a Compliance Officer for the Dept. of Labor-OSHA.
My softball coaching journey started when we signed up our eldest daughter for 4U ten years ago. Little did I know that I would end up falling in love with coaching. I have since coached all levels of Rec 4U-13U, and Eclipse 8U-12U. I also became more involved with the administration of the WGSA Program and am currently the President of WGSA.
I’ve had the privilege of coaching and/or watching many, if not all the young ladies I’ll be coaching as they made their way through the WGSA Program and I am excited to have the opportunity to coach them in the next phase of their softball journey. More importantly though, I will do my best to instill in them the things that will help make them successful in life, including attitude, effort, integrity, discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
My name is Hannah Hockerman, and I am truly thrilled and honored to join the Waupun Warrior softball family as the new JV Assistant Coach.
I am proud to serve as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor right here in the Waupun Area School District. Working with students in the classroom and in FFA activities
I grew up in Westfield, Wisconsin, where I was a four-year varsity starter and earned All-Conference accolades, SCC Conference Pitcher and Player of the Year, and All-State honors at Westfield Area High School. I continued my playing career at Rock Valley College, where I helped the team win multiple NJCAA Division III national championships and was recognized as the NJCAA DIII Pitcher of the Year, along with All-America honors. I wrapped up my collegiate career pitching for Southern Illinois University, where I contributed to strong team performances, and earned academic accolades as part of a nationally top-ranked team GPA squad.
As a first-year coach, I'm incredibly excited to bring my passion for pitching, my knowledge of the game, and my team-first mentality to the Waupun program. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and humbled to be part of such a dedicated community.
Please feel free to reach out—I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and making this a great year for Waupun softball!
Go Warriors!
HOME OF THE WGSA and the 2024 WIAA DIVISION 2 STATE CHAMPIONS
Another great day for Waupun softball as we had 20 Alumni come home to enjoy the day of Warrior softball celebration. We also honored Amber Gaffney with this year's Legacy Award. Check out the photos below. Thank you to all who made the day so much fun and a great success!
We are honored to announce Amber Gaffney as this year's Legacy Award recipient. Her 2-decade commitment to our softball program is what the WGSA is proud to celebrate. She has held many hats from coach to commissioner to board member and helped to guide three WGSA Presidents as their vice president. Thank you for all that she has done to help continue the WGSA tradition of serving our girls and their families.
2025 D1 STATE LEGION CHAMPIONS
Welcome to the home of Waupun Girls Softball Association. WGSA is an independent, non-profit organization that is committed to providing the game of fastpitch softball to the youth of Waupun, Wisconsin and surrounding communities. We organize and operate both a recreational summer league where all skill levels are welcomed along with our competitive "Eclipse" tournament teams. Along with developing softball skills to help improve the Waupun Warriors High School Softball Team we strive to provide all girls with a fun experience that fosters self esteem and personal growth team play and individual achievement.
The Registration "2025 Rec League Registration" is not currently available.
Interested in being a WGSA Sponsor? Print the form below and follow the instructions.
As with any youth program, we need parent participation to have a successful program. The main need for our summer program is volunteers to help in the concession stand or base umping in the field. Families are responsible for only 2 HOURS (1 concession stand shift or 2 umped games) PER PLAYER this year. We will continue to use Dibs as a sign up tool on our website. Dibs can be found on the "Home Page," under the "More" section of our website, or follow this link to sign up: https://www.waupunsoftball.com/dib_sessions

We are an organisation that offers fast pitch softball to the girls in the Waupun area and surrounding communities. To find out more information click on this link "THE BOARD".
